Prune Cake

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces dried prunes
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 18 1/2 ounces duncan hines spice cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 combine prunes and water in a microwave safe bowl.
  • 2 microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  • 3 drain reserving liquid.
  • 4 puree prunes in a food processor or blender.
  • 5 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 6 grease and flour a large bundt pan.
  • 7 in a large bowl blend cake mix, eggs and prune liquid and oil.
  • 8 beat on medium speed for 3 minutes.
  • 9 stir in prune puree and beat for 1 more minute.
  • 10 bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
  • 11 cake is done when toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.
