Pancakes With Ground Flax / Flax Seed

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup ground flax seeds
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- oil (for frying) or butter (for frying)
Recipe
- 1 whisk first six ingredient in a large bowl.
- 2 whisk milk, eggs and vanilla in a medium bowl, then whisk in the butter.
- 3 stir milk mixture into the dry mixture.
- 4 add a generous amount of oil or butter to a large nonstick griddle over medium heat.
- 5 drop a 1/4 cup batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake.
- 6 cook until brown, approximately 2 minutes per side.
- 7 serve with syrup and butter -- enjoy!
