New York Cheesecake

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 5 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 mix crumbs, 3 tbls sugar and butter; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
  • 2 bake at 350°f for 10 minutes.
  • 3 mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, flour and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  • 4 add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition, just until blended. do not over mix!
  • 5 blend in sour cream.
  • 6 pour over crust.
  • 7 bake 1 hour and 5 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes or until center is almost set.
  • 8 run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim of pan.
  • 9 refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
  • 10 top with cherry pie filling and garnish, if desired.
