Quick & Easy Waffles

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (or less to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 eggs (separated)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)

Recipe

  • 1 combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, oil, milk, and egg yolks.
  • 2 beat the egg whites until they stand in soft peaks.
  • 3 fold egg whites into the batter; do not over mix.
  • 4 bake in pre-heated waffle maker for 3-5 minutes (we bake for 4 minutes if we're eating them right away, 2.5-3 minutes to save and freeze them -- then pop them into the toaster for a quick breakfast or snack; the toaster gives them just the right added amount of cooking).
