Paulette's Whippy Frosting

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup crisco
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 beat flour into milk. heat on stove just until it thickens, remove and let cool.
  • 2 in another bowl mix butter and crisco. (crisco should be soft but solid) beat together until light and whippy (fluffy).
  • 3 mix in the flour paste, mixing again until light and fluffy.
  • 4 add vanilla.
  • 5 add sugar one tbsp at a time mixing it in well before adding the next.
  • 6 do not put in refrigerator.
