Rum Cake

Ingredients

- 1 (18 ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 1 (3 ounce) package vanilla instant pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 2/3 cup rum, divided
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
Recipe
- 1 combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil, water and 1/3 cup of the rum (save the other third cup of rum for icing).
- 2 beat for 10 minutes.
- 3 sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans on bottom of greased bundt pan.
- 4 bake 325 degrees for one hour.
- 5 remove from pan.
- 6 while the cake is hot pour glaze over it.
- 7 to make glaze heat 1 stick butter, 1/4 cup water, 1 cup sugar.
- 8 boil for minute, remove from heat and then add rum.
