Sauerkraut Cake

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2/3 cup sauerkraut, well drained and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 6 ounces philadelphia cream cheese
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 cake:.
  • 2 cream margarine and sugar well.
  • 3 add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
  • 4 sift dry ingredients.
  • 5 add to the first mixture alternating with the cup of water.
