Pecan Pound Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 cream margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • 2 add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • 3 sift flour three times.
  • 4 add flour and flavorings to sugar mixture, beating constantly.
  • 5 fold nuts into batter.
  • 6 pour into greased and floured tube pan or a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
  • 7 bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, or until cake tests done.
  • 8 remove from pan to cool.
