Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups self raising flour
- 1/2 cup mixed peel
- 3/4 cup sultana
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk (or as needed to make a very stiff dough)
Recipe
- 1 cream butter and sugar, add the egg and beat well.
- 2 sift in the flour and spices, add the fruit and begin to add as much milk as you need to make a stiff dough.
- 3 divide with a fork, and place small pieces on a greased biscuit tray.
- 4 bake in a quick oven for 15 minutes.
- 5 *ican only guess a quick oven would be 200-220c.
