Polish Cheesecake

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups zwieback toast, crumbs
  • 3 teaspoons melted butter
  • 1 lb cream cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 beat cheese, eggs, 2/3 cup sugar, and almond extract together until smooth, thick and lemon colored.
  • 2 blend zwieback crumbs with butter thoroughly and press into bottom of 9" spring form pan.
  • 3 pour filling into pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes or until firm in center.
  • 4 remove from oven and cool 20 minutes.
  • 5 beat sour cream with 3 tablespoons sugar and vanilla.
  • 6 spread on top of cheese cake and bake 10 minute.
  • 7 longer at 450 degrees.
