Stabilized Whipped Cream For Frosting Cakes

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon plain gelatin
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 add gelatin to cold water in a bowl.
- 2 set this over a saucepan with boiling water until the gelatin is clear.
- 3 cool to room temperature.
- 4 meanwhile whip the cream until it is medium thick.
- 5 with the mixer still on, pour gelatin into the center of the cream.
- 6 continue to whip. add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- 7 continue whipping until cream is in soft peaks.
- 8 at this point you can add food coloring or use as is.
- 9 frost cake or cupcakes.
