No-cook Matzoh Cake

Total Time: 3 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 7 matzohs
  • 1/2 lb butter, melted
  • 7 ounces brown sugar
  • 2 ounces cocoa powder
  • 2 ounces raisins, soaked in
  • 1 tablespoon sweet red wine

Recipe

  • 1 crumble the matzohs.
  • 2 add brown sugar, cocoa and soaked raisins to the melted, slightly cooled butter.
  • 3 add this to the crumbled matzohs. mix well.
  • 4 divide the "batter" into two 9-inch springforms or aluminum forms.
  • 5 press the batter in order to get a flat and smooth surface.
  • 6 refrigerate for several hours.
