Sultana Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces sultanas
  • 8 ounces butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 12 ounces flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 ounces sugar

Recipe

  • 1 boil sultanas in a little water for 5 minutes then drain.
  • 2 melt butter and add to sultanas.
  • 3 beat eggs together and add to sultanas.
  • 4 add dry ingredients and mix well.
  • 5 place in 10" tin which has been lined with baking paper or greaseproof paper.
  • 6 bake at 300'f for 70 minutes.
  • 7 remove from oven and cool in tin for 10 minutes before removing to a rack to finish cooling.
