- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 first set eggs and milk on counter and let warm to room temperature.
- 2 while eggs and milk warm, in a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. after thoroughly sifting the ingredients make a well in the center of the bowl to pour in the wet ingredients.
- 3 in a small bowl, beat eggs lightly, then add melted butter and beat until mixed, finally lightly beat in milk and vanilla. next pour wet ingredients into the well in the large bowl, and mix until smooth.
- 4 heat lightly oiled griddle or large frying pan over medium high heat. pour 1/4 cup of batter onto frying pan and wait till bubbles form, flip then brown other side and serve.
