Sultana Caramel Self Saucing Pudding

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sultana
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 ounces butter
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Recipe

  • 1 to make the sauce put sugar, butter and water in pan and bring to boil.
  • 2 put aside.
  • 3 cream butter and sugar.
  • 4 add egg and vanilla essence and beat well.
  • 5 sift in dry ingrediants and add sultanas.
  • 6 if dry may need a little milk.
  • 7 put the hot sauce into pudding dish, spoon cake mixture on top.
  • 8 bake at 350 deg f for approx 45 mins.
  • 9 serve with cream or ice cream.
