Pound Cake L'orange

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2 grease bundt pan and set aside.
  • 3 in medium bowl, combine flour and baking soda; set aside.
  • 4 in mixing bowl combine sugar and butter and cream together.
  • 5 add eggs one at a time.
  • 6 stir in orange juice and zest.
  • 7 add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition.
  • 8 pour into prepared pan.
  • 9 bake about 50-55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when poked.
  • 10 cool cake in pan for 15 minutes and then turn out onto wire rack and allow to cool completely.
  • 11 for glaze, combine confectioner's sugar, orange juice and zest, and vanilla.
  • 12 stir until smooth and then drizzle over cooled cake.
