Pound Cake L'orange

Ingredients

- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 6 eggs
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- 2 grease bundt pan and set aside.
- 3 in medium bowl, combine flour and baking soda; set aside.
- 4 in mixing bowl combine sugar and butter and cream together.
- 5 add eggs one at a time.
- 6 stir in orange juice and zest.
- 7 add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition.
- 8 pour into prepared pan.
- 9 bake about 50-55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when poked.
- 10 cool cake in pan for 15 minutes and then turn out onto wire rack and allow to cool completely.
- 11 for glaze, combine confectioner's sugar, orange juice and zest, and vanilla.
- 12 stir until smooth and then drizzle over cooled cake.
