Praline Cheesecake

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • maple syrup
  • pecan halves

Recipe

  • 1 combine crumbs, granulated sugar and margarine; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
  • 2 bake at 350°f for 10 minutes.
  • 3 combine cream cheese, brown sugar and flour, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended.
  • 4 add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • 5 blend in vanilla; stir in chopped pecans.
  • 6 pour over crust.
  • 7 bake at 450°f for 10 minutes.
  • 8 reduce oven temperature to 250°f and continue baking an additional 30 minutes.
  • 9 loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan.
  • 10 chill.
  • 11 brush with maple syrup; top with pecan halves.
