Succulent Strawberry Shortcake Layered Delight

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (300 ml) can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 (113 g) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups whipping cream, whipped
  • 1 (298 g) package frozen pound cake, thawed and cubed
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, cleaned, hulled, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • fresh strawberries (to garnish)
  • toasted almond (to garnish, slivered or sliced)

Recipe

  • 1 in large mixer bowl, combine eagle brand and water.
  • 2 add pudding mix; beat well. chill until set.
  • 3 fold in whipped cream.
  • 4 spoon 2 cups pudding mixture into large round glass serving bowl.
  • 5 top with 1/2 cake cubes, half strawberries, half the jam and half remaining pudding mixture.
  • 6 repeat layering, ending with pudding mixture.
  • 7 garnish with strawberries and almonds.
  • 8 chill 4 hours or until set. refrigerate leftovers.
  • 9 makes 8-10 servings.
