Poppy Seed Cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 4 eggs, separated
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 (1 1/4 ounce) can poppy seeds
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 cups flour, plain

Recipe

• 1 sift flour, salt & soda together set aside.
• 2 cream butter & sugar.
• 3 add egg yolks.
• 4 add sour cream.
• 5 add poppyseeds.
• 6 add flour,salt & soda.
• 7 beat egg whites til stiff.
• 8 gently fold in egg whites.
• 9 bake 1 hour at 300º in bunt pan.
