Nanny's Cheesecake Squares

Ingredients

• Servings: 12
• 1 1/2 cups graham wafer crumbs
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 1/3 cup butter, melted
• 8 ounces cream cheese
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 3 egg yolks
• 3 egg whites (beat stiff)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 (21 ounce) can pie filling, for topping (optional)

Recipe

• 1 mix first 3 ingredients for bottom and press into a square pan or baking dish.
• 2 cream cheese and sugar, add egg yolks and vanilla.
• 3 fold in beaten egg whites. pour into prepared crumb bottom.
• 4 bake at 350 for 1/2 hours.
• 5 let cool completely before adding topping.
• 6 keep refrigerated.
