Rich Lemon Pound Cake

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • confectioners' sugar
  • lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • 3 cream the butter and add in the eggs, sour cream, ricotta cheese, vanilla extract, almond extract, and lemon juice.
  • 4 mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients.
  • 5 pour into a greased 9 inch loaf pan.
  • 6 bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
  • 7 to make the glaze, add in a few drops of lemon juice to confectioner's sugar and pour over the cooled cake.
