Super Delicious Basic Pancakes

Total Time: 13 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 3 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cups milk
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 prepare and preheat your griddle. i typically heat mine to 375 degrees.
  • 2 you can also use a skillet on the stove.
  • 3 whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
  • 4 in another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs and vanilla.
  • 5 pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and gently whisk them together, mixing just until combined. batter should be lumpy.
  • 6 spoon 1/3 cup batter onto the griddle for each pancake, nudging the batter into rounds.
  • 7 cook until the top of each pancake is speckled with bubbles and some of the bubbles have popped open.
  • 8 once the bubbles start to pop, turn the pancakes over and cook until the underside is lightly browned.
  • 9 serve immediately or keep warm in a 200 degree oven while you finish cooking the rest of the pancakes.
