Super Delicious Basic Pancakes

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 cups milk
- 4 1/2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 prepare and preheat your griddle. i typically heat mine to 375 degrees.
- 2 you can also use a skillet on the stove.
- 3 whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
- 4 in another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs and vanilla.
- 5 pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and gently whisk them together, mixing just until combined. batter should be lumpy.
- 6 spoon 1/3 cup batter onto the griddle for each pancake, nudging the batter into rounds.
- 7 cook until the top of each pancake is speckled with bubbles and some of the bubbles have popped open.
- 8 once the bubbles start to pop, turn the pancakes over and cook until the underside is lightly browned.
- 9 serve immediately or keep warm in a 200 degree oven while you finish cooking the rest of the pancakes.
