Pineapple Filling

Total Time: 14 mins Preparation Time: 2 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice or 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange rind or 1 teaspoon lemon rind
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple (with juice)

Recipe

  • 1 put first three ingredients in a small sauce pan.
  • 2 mix well and add the rest.
  • 3 cook over low heat, stirring/whisking constantly until thick.
  • 4 cool before filling/frosting cake.
