Prune Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- 1 cup prune, chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter
Recipe
- 1 mix together first 6 ingredients.
- 2 set aside.
- 3 mix sugar, oil, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.
- 4 stir dry mixture into the wet mixture.
- 5 fold in nuts and prunes.
- 6 grease a tube pan and line with parchment paper.
- 7 bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
- 8 cool for 15 minutes and remove from pan.
- 9 mix glaze ingredients together and cook over medium heat.
- 10 stir constantly until glaze turns a caramel color.
- 11 pour over cake.
