Red Velvet Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 2 (1 ounce) bottles red food coloring
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup sweet milk
  • 1/2 cup oleo
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 drop red food coloring
  • 1 cup sugar

Recipe

  • 2 cream together crisco, sugar, food coloring, and salt.
