Scones

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 2 compressed yeast cakes (with a little bit of warm water)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • flour, sifted
  • oil

Recipe

  • 1 in a large bowl, wisk buttermilk, eggs, and margarine. add yeast cakes.
  • 2 in a small bowl, combine salt, baking soda, baking powder and sugar.
  • 3 add enough flour until dough is easy to handle.
  • 4 raise 2 hours. roll out 1/4" think. cut and deep fry in oil.
