Mil Pound Poppy Seed Cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 cup poppy seed
Recipe
- 1 beat butter until very soft and shiny.
- 2 add sugar; beat for several minutes until light and fluffy and whitish colored.
- 3 beat eggs in small bowl; add extracts to the eggs.
- 4 add egg mixture to butter mixture and beat unfil fluffly.
- 5 alternately add flour and milk; mix until combined.
- 6 stir in poppyseeds.
- 7 pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
- 8 bake at 300 degrees for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, or until long toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
- 9 cool 15 minutes.
