Red Velvet Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 1/2 cups crisco
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 7 eggs
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (2 ounce) bottle red food coloring
  • frosting
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 box 10x confectioners' sugar

Recipe

  • 1 cake: cream shortening, sugar and beat well, add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
  • 2 add other ingredients alternating with milk and flavorings.
