Red Velvet Pound Cake

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups crisco
- 3 cups sugar
- 7 eggs
- 3 cups cake flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 (2 ounce) bottle red food coloring

- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 box 10x confectioners' sugar
Recipe
- 1 cake: cream shortening, sugar and beat well, add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
- 2 add other ingredients alternating with milk and flavorings.
- 3 bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325 soften the butter and cream cheese, beat well and add other ingredients until spreading consistency ice cool cake.
