Red Wine Chicken

Ingredients

- 3 -4 chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of fresh minced ginger
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Recipe
- 1 over medium-high heat, start a rue by wisking together the olive oil and flour in a medium pot. rue should be somewhat moist and not cakey.
- 2 add a splash of red wine and stir vigorously.
- 3 continue stirring and blending the rue with the wine - continue adding wine.
- 4 when you have a stable mixture, stir in soy sauce, ginger, oregano, and brown sugar.
- 5 add chicken and reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring and adding wine as needed every 10 minutes.
