Scones (margot)

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 cups sourdough batter
  • 1 cup milk or 1 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in a little water
  • 4 cups flour

Recipe

  • 1 mix as you would for yeast bread, not too stiff.
  • 2 place in lightly greased container and let rise to double in bulk.
  • 3 roll out on a floured board and cut to desired pieces.
  • 4 fry in deep crisco oil. make plenty.
