Super Simple Pineapple Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
- 1/2 cup coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 slice margarine
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/8 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 mix the dry ingredients for the cake.
- 2 stir in the eggs and pineapple.
- 3 pour the mixture into a 9x13 pan.
- 4 sprinkle the coconut and brown sugar over the top.
- 5 bake at 350 degrees for 40 min--or until cake is slightly browned on top and passes the "toothpick test".
- 6 once the cake is out of the oven, mix all of the syrup ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- 7 pour hot mixture over the warm cake.
- 8 make sure you let the cake sit for a few minutes to let the syrup get completely absorbed before serving.
